Days Mon – Fri (8am – 4:30pm, 8am – 3:30pm) – 1 Weekend in 7 on call

We are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to join our long standing successful team of engineers at a heavy manufacturing facility in Rugby!

Role and Responsibilities

  • The role is a largely hands off role, roughly 80% hands off with 20% hands on work when getting involved on major breakdowns.
  • Taking the lead on suggestions for major mechanical improvements across the site
  • Delegate day to day working responsibilities
  • Manage and monitor performance of existing engineering staff and contractors including issuing permits to work.
  • Ensuring health and safety compliance and adherence across the site.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a maintenance team lead/supervisor/manager in an industrial environment
  • Minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a mechanical maintenance disclipline – Essential for this role
  • Ability to work in a heavy plant environment – Previous experience not essential
  • Strong communication skills
