Location: Various sites across the South of England
Salary: Up to £35,000 + progression opportunities

Summary:
We’re seeking an experienced Jointers Mate with current SSE authorisation to support ongoing LV/HV network projects across the South. This is a field-based role, with work carried out across multiple sites and occasional visits to the main office (typically once a month or as required to collect tools and equipment). You’ll be joining a leading utilities contractor delivering essential infrastructure works, working alongside authorised jointers to ensure all works are carried out safely, efficiently and to DNO standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist authorised LV/HV Jointers with installation, jointing and termination work on a variety of networks.

• Prepare and maintain work areas, excavation, ducting, cable pulling and reinstatement as required.

• Ensure safety procedures, permits and network authorisations are always adhered to.

• Maintain tools, equipment and materials to company standards.

• Work effectively as part of a jointing team delivering connections, maintenance and fault works.

Requirements:

• SSE Jointers Mate authorisation (current or recently held) – essential.

• CSCS / SHEA Power card (desirable) and Full UK Driving Licence.

• Experience assisting with LV/HV cable jointing or similar electrical distribution works.

• Strong safety awareness and commitment to working within live network environments.

• NRSWA (Street Works) and First Aid certificates desirable.
