We are seeking a motivated and skilled Design & Technology Technician to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity to support our thriving DT department and play a vital role in helping students develop their practical and creative skills.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing materials, tools and equipment for lessons and workshops.

  • Maintaining, cleaning, and organising machinery, tools and classrooms.

  • Supporting teaching staff in the delivery of DT lessons, including woodwork, metalwork, graphics, and resistant materials.

  • Ensuring a safe learning environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.

  • Assisting students with practical tasks under teacher supervision.

  • Managing stock, ordering supplies, and keeping accurate records.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Practical skills and experience working with hand tools, machinery, and workshop equipment.

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to support both staff and students.

  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.

  • Previous experience in a similar school-based or workshop technician role is desirable, but training can be provided.
