Description
- Oversee the credit control process and ensure timely collection of outstanding debts.
- Monitor customer accounts and assess credit risks to minimise financial exposure.
- Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
- Liaise with clients and internal departments to resolve payment issues promptly.
- Provide regular reports on cash flow, debtors, and account statuses to senior management.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Support the Accounting & Finance department with reconciliations and financial analysis as needed.
- Lead and mentor a small team of credit control professionals to achieve departmental goals.
Profile
A successful Credit Control Manager should have:
- Previous experience in credit control, preferably within the energy and natural resources sector.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using financial software and systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
