Job Title: EHSQ Advisor/Manager

Location: Runcorn, North West

Salary: Open to discussion based on experience

Contract / Permanent: Ideally Permanent, LTD 6 month contract may be considered

Hours: 38-40 hours per week Monday - Friday9:30am-4:30pm (flexi working available)

As an EHSQ Advisor/Manager, you will ensure that all operational activities comply with statutory, regulatory, and industry standards. You'll work closely with company personnel, clients, and subcontractors to maintain a safe working environment and uphold ISO standards. This role involves developing risk assessments, managing compliance documentation, delivering training, and driving continuous improvement across health, safety, environmental, and quality systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and site activity risk assessments (SARAs).
  • Coordinate CDM activities and prepare Construction Phase Plans.
  • Deliver EHSQ training courses and support ISO accreditation reviews.
  • Maintain legal registers and quality systems for new starters.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with customers on EHSQ requirements and attend client meetings.
  • Monitor projects for EHSQ input and attend planning meetings.
  • Prepare EHSQ reports and identify areas for improvement.
  • Advise managers and supervisors on PPE and compliance requirements.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, making recommendations to prevent recurrence.
  • Manage health and safety plans, toolbox talks, and safety inductions.
  • Oversee COSHH assessments, fire risk assessments, and environmental guidance.
  • Maintain Achilles certification and asset registers.

Qualifications & Experience

  • NEBOSH qualification (construction or general certificate minimum).
  • CDM training to CDM 2015 requirements.
  • Gas networks & terminals experience (desirable)
  • Minimum 5 years in an EHSQ role with relevant industrial experience.
  • Engineering or construction background (advantageous).
  • Hands-on industrial site experience and sound environmental knowledge.
  • Experience maintaining ISO9001:15 accreditation.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; confident with MS Office.
