We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to work with Key Stage 2 pupils who require additional support with SATs. This role involves assisting teachers in delivering lessons, providing one-on-one support to students, and helping to create a positive atmosphere conducive to learning.

Responsibilities

  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to the needs of students.

  • Provide individual support to students with disabilities, ensuring their participation in classroom activities.

  • Facilitate communication between students and teachers, promoting understanding and engagement.

  • Support students with their academic work, including tutoring and mentoring as needed.

  • Help maintain a safe and organised classroom environment that encourages learning.

  • Collaborate with other staff members to develop strategies for supporting students with special educational needs.

  • Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills related to special education.

Experience

  • Previous experience working with children, particularly at KS2.

  • Familiarity with teaching methodologies and strategies for supporting students with autism is highly desirable.

  • Strong communication skills, enabling effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.

  • A background in tutoring or mentoring is advantageous.
