06.30am- 3pm 2.30pm-11.0010.30pm-07.00am

Basic Salary £29,203 + shift premiums.

We are looking for a senior Operative for a plastic Manufacturing company, you will be experienced in using manual and automated Injection Moulding machinery and able to stand in for the supervisor as needed.

Key duties

  • Perform mould changes, material and colour changes.
  • Prepare equipment, tools, paperwork, and ancillary items for production setup.
  • Monitor daily production and quality control records; identify inefficiencies and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure quality standards and production targets are consistently met.
  • Operate machinery efficiently under pressure, minimizing downtime.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Conduct routine housekeeping and maintenance of machinery and work areas.
  • Carry out all necessary manual tasks associated with the moulding process.
  • Report any potential issues with equipment, facilities, or safety to management.
  • Provide performance feedback and assist in training new starters.
  • Suggest improvements to safety, equipment, and operational procedures.
  • Maintain and record health and safety checks.
  • Provide cover for supervisors and operators during absences

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Previous injection moulding experience is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Organized, motivated, and reliable with good time-management skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Confident communicator with a proactive and professional attitude.
  • Flexible, dependable, and committed to supporting the team.
  • UK driving license is beneficial.
  • Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
