Senior Planning Manager
Location: Cheshire

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be working with a well established and forward thinking development business that's seeking a Senior Planning Manager to join their growing team in Cheshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and commercially minded planning professional to take on a key role in delivering a diverse portfolio of strategic and development projects. You'll be joining a collaborative and ambitious business where your expertise will directly influence land promotion, development, and delivery activities.

The Role
As a Senior Planning Manager, you'll play a central role in identifying, managing, and progressing development opportunities through all stages of the planning process. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing, submitting, and managing planning applications.

  • Coordinating multi disciplinary consultant teams to ensure successful outcomes.

  • Liaising with landowners, local authorities, and other stakeholders to progress projects.

  • Promoting sites through the Local Plan process and identifying future growth prospects.

  • Supporting the wider business with planning input on land acquisition and development strategies.

About You
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

  • 5+ years' experience in town planning, land promotion, or a related discipline.

  • Strong understanding of planning policy, development management, and strategic land promotion.

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

  • A proactive and commercially aware mindset, with the ability to add value throughout the development cycle.

  • MRTPI qualification (or working towards) preferred.
