Description

Oversee the product development process from initial concept to manufacturing.
Utilise CAD software for design and simulation of products.
Develop and optimise mechanical systems and components.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on design projects.
Manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure on-time completion.
Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure design feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
Conduct regular design reviews and propose improvements.
Ensure all designs comply with relevant safety and quality standards.

Profile

A successful Mechanical Design Engineer should have:

A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
3-5 years experience within Industry.
Proficiency in CAD software for mechanical design.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and manufacturing processes.
Excellent project management skills.
An innovative mindset for problem-solving and design optimisation.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Desirable skills/experience:

Electronic/Robotic experience.
Aerospace / defence knowledge.
Actuation design.
Electric motor gearboxes.
Pneumatic/hydraulic experience.

Job Offer

A competitive salary range of 40,000-60,000 per annum.
An annual bonus of up to 3,000.
A 4% pension match.
