We are currently working in partnership with a 3 form entry Church of England primary school in the Runcorn area to recruit a dynamic and motivated PPA Cover teacher across EYFS / KS1 / KS2 for the summer and September terms. The school needs someone who can move across curriculum and key stages to provide PPA cover support for Teaching Staff on a full-time around the school.


Start Date: Summer or September 2025 term.
School interview date: end of May 2025.
Contract: Fixed-term 12-month contract

All candidates will be subject to vetting checks in line with D of E regulations.

Experienced and strong ECT teachers will be considered for the role, with the potential to receive ECT mentoring and support from the school in the future. The governors are seeking to secure an outstanding teacher to join their dynamic team.

You will be expected to immerse yourself in all aspects of the Foundation / KS1 / KS2 curriculum and help / report and identify gaps in curriculum knowledge. They are looking for a teacher who can demonstrate a commitment to empathy and a love for helping children learn. They will expect you to have high expectations in order to help children and the local community.

Your new role.

Your new role will see you working in Speech, Language, Alternative and Continuous Provision, English, Maths and Science lessons across EYFS / KS1 / KS2. You will be expected to immerse yourself in the school calendar and attend after-school clubs, supervise / direct teaching assistants, modify curriculum as necessary, use excellent behaviour management techniques, marking frameworks, and assessment frameworks across the school. You will be expected to differentiate and bridge gaps in attainment to provide support for teaching staff across the school. You are expected to build effective working relationships quickly and manage assessment / target data for the academic year. As a PPA Cover teacher, you will see classes on a regular basis and be in and out of their scheme of work and midterm learning objectives. You need to be proactive in your approach to professional development and have an adaptable approach to teaching.


What you'll need to succeed.

To be considered, you must have:

- Qualified Teacher Status (UK QTS)
- Experience working EYFS / KS1 / KS2.
- Enthusiasm, energy and flexibility
- Be up-to-date with curriculum
- Suitable references
- Highly motivated and driven to exceed expectations
- Up-to-date DBS preferred
- ECTs considered
