They are currently recruiting for a Principle Structural Engineer to oversee engineering projects including resource programming, design review and ensuring completion delivery.

Salary: 55,000 - 70,000 (Depending on experience)
Location: Rushden Northamptonshire
Hours: Monday - Friday working 9am-5:30pm (flexibility to offer hybrid working)
Contract: Permanent
Responsibilities:
- Manage engineering projects from concept to completion, including resource planning, scheduling, design reviews, and ensuring timely delivery within budget.
- Serve as a technical point of contact for clients, providing expert advice and guidance.
- Collaborate within a well-established team of Engineers and CAD Technicians, working in compliance with our Company Management Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001).
- Provide mentoring, supervision, and quality checks for the work produced by Engineers and CAD Technicians.
- Lead the conceptual and detailed design of construction methods and temporary works, with a focus on steel structures designed to Eurocode standards.
- Conduct structural analysis reviews using STAAD Pro and LUSAS software.
- Prepare detailed design calculations using Microsoft Excel (preferred) or manual methods.
- Develop design sketches and drawings either by hand or using Autodesk AutoCAD and/or Inventor.
- Oversee the CAD team in producing 3D models, general arrangement (GA) drawings, and manufacturing drawings.
- Create technical documentation, including design statements, designer's risk assessments, and engineering method statements.
- Assist in the preparation of tender designs and cost estimates.
Required Experience:
- A minimum of 12 years' post-graduate experience in structural analysis and design, with a strong emphasis on steel structures.
- Proven experience in leading and managing technical teams.
- Solid understanding of temporary works and construction engineering, including familiarity with heavy lifting equipment and techniques.
- In-depth knowledge and practical application of Eurocodes in structural design.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficient in general IT applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email systems.
