We are supporting a manufacturing company in Rushden, in their search for a CNC Machinist.

This role provides a fantastic opportunity to learn the industry, improve your skills and develop.

Position Summary:

· Under limited supervision, prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks which include drilling, milling and grinding.
· Keep records of materials and time used on jobs.
· Support engineering and production with any changes to machine build.
· Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
· Prepare and load raw materials onto the machinery.
· Support engineering with parts for research and development.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

· CNC and manual machining knowledge and 3+ years experience.
· Ability to read mechanical drawings.
· General problem-solving skills and practical aptitude.
· Mechanical skills.
· Ability to work as part of a team.
· Strong communication skills.

Qualifications:

· Engineering apprenticeship, City & Guilds parts 1 & 2 would be advantageous.
