We're partnering with a successful and growing manufacturing business to recruit a Credit Controller on a temp-to-perm basis. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a high-volume, B2B environment and is looking for variety, development, and a path into broader finance exposure.

This role will suit someone keen to build on their existing accounts experience and gain exposure across other finance functions - particularly Credit Control.

Study Support is also available with AAT qualifications for the right candidate!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily download and reconciliation of bank statements
  • Allocating cash against remittances efficiently
  • Running aged debtor reports (30/45/60 days)
  • Chasing overdue debt and managing email reminders for month-end payments
  • Monitoring and reducing aged debt (initially high on starting)
  • Managing a high-volume but low-customer ledger (e.g. Morrisons - avg. £20k+)
  • Supporting broader finance functions when required
  • Liaising with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve queries
  • Reporting directly into senior leadership for ledger updates

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise work effectively.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
