Our client is a well-known and reputable national fleet company. Currently they are looking for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / HGV Mechanic to join their business.

Shifts:

Permanent Morning – 6:00 – 14:30 up to

Permanent Afters- 14:00-22:30- up to

Nights- 22:00- 6:30- up to rotating Sunday -Thursday & Monday - Friday

Job role:

  • Working as part of a team to maintain and build employee and customer relations to ensure the workshop operation achieved its objectives and targets
  • Ensuring quality diagnostics and repairs according to repair orders
  • Ensuring work is quality assured and in accordance with standards and literature
  • Maintaining working capacity of machines and tools
  • Striving to achieve Rectification Ratio – Zero (right first time)
  • Work closely with the VMU manager and communicate the number of parts and labour needed for additional repairs
  • Record and report time spent on repair and maintenance
  • Assure a clean and safe workshop at all times

The Person:

  • City & Guilds or NVQ level 3 qualification is essential
  • Experience within a fleet or commercial environment working on HGVs
  • Practical understanding of using information technology and systems to deliver objectives
  • Safety awareness and be committed to a right first-time ethos
  • A flexible and can-do attitude with the ability to work in a team environment and on your own initiative
  • HGV Class 1 Driving licence is preferred
  • Experience with Tail lifts is desirable
