Job Responsibilities

  • Lead employer engagement activities to meet service goals.

  • Develop and manage relationships with employers to increase job opportunities.

  • Organize and enhance current engagement activities like job fairs and events.

  • Work with the team to design and deliver training for participants.

  • Set and achieve targets with the management team.

  • Supervise the engagement team, focusing on staff development and performance.

  • Identify areas for improvement and create strategies to enhance engagement.

  • Use knowledge and research to find new collaboration opportunities.

  • Maintain records and ensure data protection compliance.

  • Identify and manage operational risks.

  • Ensure compliance with council policies and regulations.

  • Collaborate with the wider team to promote the service.

  • Perform additional tasks as required for smooth service operation.

Person Specification
Must Have

  • Qualification in management or related field.

  • Experience in employer engagement and managing relationships.

  • Ability to plan and evaluate recruitment and training initiatives.

  • Experience in team supervision and development.

  • Understanding of local recruitment market and employment legislation.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent ICT skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work flexibly and meet deadlines.

Nice to Have

  • Project management qualification.

  • Experience in grant-funded projects.

  • Knowledge of Welsh language and culture.

  • Willingness to travel and work occasional evenings and weekends.
