About the Role:We are seeking a passionate and dedicated A Level Psychology and Sociology Teacher to join a vibrant and supportive sixth form or secondary school in Ruthin. This is a full-time position for the entire academic year, ideal for an enthusiastic educator who is committed to inspiring students and delivering high-quality teaching in both subjects.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in A Level Psychology and Sociology.
- Prepare students for AQA or equivalent exam board assessments.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Contribute to departmental planning, meetings, and curriculum development.
- Support students’ academic and personal development.
- Participate in school events, parent evenings, and enrichment activities.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Degree in Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.
- Experience teaching A Level Psychology and/or Sociology (preferred).
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- A commitment to inclusive education and student success.
- Familiarity with the AQA specification.
- Experience with pastoral responsibilities or sixth form tutoring.
- Ability to contribute to extracurricular activities or enrichment programs.
