Part-Time Accounts AssistantLocation: Great Chesterford (on-site, with some hybrid flexibility post-probation)Salary: £28,000 FTEHours: Monday to Friday (20 hours per week)

This role reports to the Finance Manager and offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the day-to-day running of the finance function.Key Responsibilities:

  • Input and process supplier invoices
  • Reconcile supplier statements and handle queries
  • Monitor and manage the shared accounts inbox
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations
  • Process credit card and employee expenses
  • Assist with VAT returns and month/year-end close
  • Support ad-hoc finance tasks as needed

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Office experience with strong attention to detail
  • Experience in bookkeeping or finance is desirable but not essential
  • Confident with Excel (lookups, pivot tables, formulas)
  • Willing to learn new systems and processes
  • A team player who can also work independently and prioritise workloads effectively
