About the Role:

Working with our Cambridge based client, you will act as a key support function for the Laboratory team, working within the Research and Development of innovative Biopharmaceuticals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and manage microbiological media, reagents, and clean glassware supplies
  • Handle laboratory waste disposal efficiently
  • Maintain compressed gas and liquid nitrogen supplies, including cylinder changes and cryo storage vessel refills
  • Manage laboratory stock through ordering, receiving, and distributing supplies
  • Conduct routine laboratory and facilities checks
  • Coordinate with and accompany maintenance engineers during on-site visits
  • Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety regulations
What We're Looking For:

The ideal candidate for this role will hold some laboratory experience outside of education. This could include industry based support experience, summer work during degree, industry placement, or similar.

  • Laboratory based experience including reagent and media preparation.
  • Experience in wider support areas; Laboratory consumable ordering, Goods In, general Laboratory maintenance.
  • Proficiency in preparing sterile laboratory supplies, particularly microbiological media
  • Strong stock management capabilities.

This role is expected to last for approximately 6 months and provides an ideal opportunity to gain experience within an innovative company. It is not anticipated to provide further opporutnity for wider roles.
