At Solution 47 Recruitment, we are delighted to be supporting one of our long-standing engineering clients in Saffron Walden. This business is known for its superb shop floor, excellent facilities, and a genuine commitment to looking after their staff. Due to continued demand, they are looking for a Technical Assembly Operative to join the team on a temporary basis, with the strong possibility of becoming permanent for the right person.

About the Role

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on, detailed, technical work. While previous assembly experience would certainly be beneficial, our client is also open to individuals who have a natural mechanical aptitude and enjoy practical, assembly-type tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out mechanical and technical assembly following clear instructions and engineering drawings.

  • Using hand tools and basic workshop equipment accurately and safely.

  • Completing quality checks to ensure all assembled components meet required standards.

  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

  • Working collaboratively as part of a friendly and supportive production team.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in assembly or technical assembly is an advantage, but not essential.

  • Someone with good practical ability, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work well within a team.

  • Comfortable in a busy engineering environment.
