We are seeking a Graduate RandD Software Engineer to join our Saffron Walden based client. You will join a fast-growing research and technology company to support a wide range of research and development activities. This role suits an early-career engineer who enjoys variety, problem-solving and hands-on technical work.
Responsibilities
- Develop innovative software solutions alongside the engineering team
- Build tools for data gathering, preprocessing and optimisation for ML and algorithm development
- Maintain and support operational Linux-based systems
- Contribute to a broad mix of RandD, software, data science and technical problem-solving tasks
Requirements
Essential
- Recent STEM graduate (2:1 or above)
- Strong skills in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++)
- Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- Motivated, adaptable and keen to learn across multiple technical areas
Desirable
- Python experience and familiarity with ML/data science libraries
- Interest in signals, RF or SDRs
- Knowledge of Git, Docker or cloud platforms
- Academic/project experience in ML, data science or DSP
- Enthusiasm for startup environments and taking ownership of work
