Polytec are seeking RF Engineers to support the design and development of high-frequency communication and sensing systems for our Saffron Walden based client. The role is open to engineers at various career stages and offers the opportunity to work on advanced RF technologies within a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
* Design and optimise RF systems and components, including antennas, filters, and amplifiers
* Contribute to phased-array antenna and beamforming development
* Test and validate RF hardware for performance and compliance
* Perform RF simulations using industry-standard tools
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate RF solutions
* Document test results and support standards compliance
Requirements:
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
* RF design or test experience (entry-level considered%3B senior typically 5+ years)
* Hands-on use of RF lab equipment (spectrum / network analysers, signal generators)
* Strong understanding of phased-array systems and beamforming
* Experience with SDRs and tools such as GNU Radio
* Solid knowledge of RF and microwave theory
* Experience with RF front-end components (LNAs, PAs, filters)
Desirable:
* Linux and scripting / programming experience
* Exposure to manufacturing or quality environments
* Patent contributions and / or security clearance eligibility
