TeacherActive are proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in Sale, supporting children and young people aged 11–16 with a range of complex needs, including Autism, sensory processing difficulties, communication challenges and SEMH needs.

We’re seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant who can bring patience, creativity and resilience to a warm and supportive classroom team.

The ideal candidate will:
  • Have previous experience in a SEND setting, supporting pupils with complex or additional needs.

  • Be confident using communication aids or sensory strategies to support learning.

  • Bring a nurturing, calm and positive approach to behaviour management.

  • Work collaboratively with teachers and therapists to deliver tailored support.

  • Be committed to helping every learner thrive — academically, socially and emotionally.
