Part Qualified Management Accountant | Salford Quays, Manchester | £35k - £40k We are currently recruiting on behalf of a rapidly growing organisation based in Salford Quays, seeking an experienced Part Qualified Management Accountant who is qualified by experience or studying CIMA, ACCA OR ACA. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially aware individual who enjoys working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

The role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning the month-end process, supporting business planning, and providing insightful financial reporting to influence strategic decisions.

Part Qualified Management Accountant Key Responsibilities:

Month-End & Management Accounts

  • Prepare monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow

  • Post journals (accruals, prepayments, depreciation, etc.)

  • Reconcile control accounts including VAT, payroll, and fixed assets

  • Support month-end close and year-end processes

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Assist with annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting

  • Work with senior stakeholders to gather inputs and challenge assumptions

  • Provide variance analysis and insightful commentary

Reporting & Analysis

  • Deliver regular financial reports to support performance tracking

  • Conduct analysis on margins, costs, and revenue trends

  • Support with ad hoc reporting and scenario modelling

Business Partnering & Collaboration

  • Work closely with department heads to ensure financial understanding

  • Attend management meetings where needed to provide finance input

  • Build strong cross-functional relationships across the business

Controls & Compliance

  • Ensure accurate records and strong financial controls are maintained

  • Support internal and external audit processes

  • Adhere to accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies

Part Qualified Management Accountant Requirements:
  • Fully qualified or finalist (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent)

  • Minimum 3+ years' experience in a management accounting role

  • Strong understanding of financial reporting and commercial insight

  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with XERO

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Able to work autonomously and flexibly within a small team environment
