Finance Manager (Part-time, 30 hours)

Joining an entrepreneurial business, modern, forward-thinking, construction company in Salford. An organically growing SME who, up to point, haven't required a Finance Manager. They are now at a size and scale where they're looking for an ambitious Finance Manager to come in, on a part-time basis, and drive the management accounts and forward-planning.

Having visited the office and chatted at length with the MD, it's absolutely clear, this is a phenomenal business to work for in terms of culture, opportunity and development. The offices are slick, open plan and even dog friendly. It's a totally modern operation where you walk in and instantly think, I would love to work here.

This is a brand new role in the business intended to increase visibility for the Directors and aid in strategic planning and projects, you will:

  • Implement an MI pack with margins broken down by each project
  • Work directly with the business owner to understand the budgeting process, current business forecasts and total financial outlook for the operation
  • Implement your own working style, ideas and processes
  • CIS returns, subcontractor payroll
  • You will be supported by a Bookkeeper, but this is a totally hands on role so you be into everything, end-to-end accounting, from processing invoices to full cashflow forecasting, budgeting, PNL analysis, VAT returns and management accounts
  • You will have experience using XERO software

On company culture, they are totally family-friendly so will work around you. Ideally they're looking for you to do 4 days a week, with flex around core hours.

On your profile, the main thing for this MD is you have experience within a construction setting, around CIS returns, projects and subcontractors.
