- Monitoring and reconciling Office and Client accounts, allocating receipts, processing payments (Faster Payments, CHAPS, SWIFT), and handling banking transactions.
- Managing payments and queries relating to deputy client bank accounts, including payroll, pensions, tax, and NI for employed carers.
- Liaising with external banks to resolve payment issues and managing deposits/withdrawals from external accounts (e.g. NS&I, CFO).
- Handling client-related tasks such as checking completion statements, processing bills, managing residual balances, and reviewing property ledgers.
- Posting staff expenses and supplier invoices, tracking firm card usage, and supporting day-to-day cashiering tasks across the department.
- Using case management systems to maintain accurate, up-to-date records and collaborating with colleagues to ensure compliance and service excellence.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in legal cashiering within a law firm.
- Strong understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Rules.
- High accuracy, attention to detail, and strong numerical ability.
- Excellent communication and teamworking skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and confident using electronic document systems.
- Experience with SOS Connect is an advantage but not essential.
