Job Title: Phonics & Literacy Teaching Assistant
Location: Salford
Pay Rate: 98-105
Job Type: Full Time
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-to-one or small group tuition in phonics, reading and literacy.
- Support early reading development using phonics- based approaches.
- Identify learning gaps and provide targeted support to build confidence and fluency.
- Adapt sessions for learners with additional needs, including SEN or speech and language difficulties.
- Monitor and track progress, provide regular updates to parents/ carers and the wider educational team.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of Phonics experience
- Strong understanding of phonics frameworks and literacy teaching strategies.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Must have or be willing to undertake Enhanced DBS check.
Desired:
- QTS, PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience working with children with SEN
- Training in structurred phonics programmes.
