Are you a qualified Science Teacher looking for a rewarding teaching role in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU)? Hays Education is recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded PRU in Salford, Greater Manchester, for a Science Teacher to start in September 2025. This is a full-time temporary position for the Autumn term, with the potential to become permanent.Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated Science lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students
  • Support pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs and behavioural challenges
  • Collaborate with SEN staff and support workers to create a positive learning environment
  • Track student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Understanding of alternative provision and inclusive education
  • Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
