We are looking for compassionate and resilient SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) Teaching Assistants to join schools in Salford. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students who face social, emotional, and behavioural challenges, helping them thrive in education and beyond.
Role Overview:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with SEMH needs.
- Assist teachers in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Implement strategies to manage behaviour and promote emotional wellbeing.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with students to encourage engagement.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs (desirable but not essential).
- Patience, empathy, and resilience.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations.
