Prospero Teaching are currently seeking experienced SEMH Teaching Assistants to join a large provision in Salford (M5). The school supports pupils aged key stage 2 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You will be supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups, delivering interventions and encouraging engagement.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups delivering interventions
  • Building rapport, contributing towards an inclusive learning environment
  • Maintaining regular communication with other staff and external agencies to monitor progress

Experience, Training & Qualifications:

  • Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
  • Team Teach Level 2 is highly desired but training can be provided)
  • Previous experience supporting young people

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
