- Managing a full and varied caseload of residential property transactions from instruction through to post-completion with minimal supervision.
- Advising clients on all aspects of the conveyancing process, including sales and purchases of freehold and leasehold properties, new builds, remortgages, and transfers of equity.
- Handling more complex matters such as lease extensions, unregistered land, shared ownership, and right-to-buy where applicable.
- Liaising effectively with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other legal professionals to progress matters smoothly and efficiently.
- Drafting and reviewing contracts, conducting title checks, raising enquiries, and ensuring all regulatory compliance is met throughout the process.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records using case management software.
- Providing a consistently high standard of client care, delivering legal advice in a clear and approachable manner to build long-term relationships.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in residential conveyancing, ideally within a busy high-street or regional practice.
- Confidence in handling files autonomously with strong technical knowledge across all standard conveyancing matters.
- Experience in commercial or light commercial conveyancing would be advantageous but is not essential.
- A proactive and organised approach to file management, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a commitment to maintaining a high standard of client service.
- A team player who enjoys working collaboratively but can also work independently when needed.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid environment, with strong IT skills and experience using case management systems.
