As a Specialist Buyer, you'll be responsible for managing a specific category of goods or services, ensuring procurement and purchasing is both competitive and cost-effective. You will identify and deliver cost savings while supporting the wider goals of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive category or purchasing plan, complete with a clear pipeline of savings and opportunities
  • Set and manage category priorities in line with organisational goals
  • Lead and manage timelines for sourcing initiatives
  • Conduct tactical contract negotiations
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to fully understand their requirements
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct in supplier relationships

What We're Looking For:

  • Ideally, a graduate degree
  • MCIPS qualification (or currently studying towards it) is desirable
  • At least 2 - 3 years sourcing and category management experience
  • A proven track record of delivering cost savings through effective procurement strategies
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
