About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Classroom Support Assistant to join our team. This vital role focuses on supporting pupils with additional needs who may find aspects of the classroom routine challenging. You will work 1:1 with pupils, providing tailored support that may include emotional, academic, or physical assistance.

What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is:

  • Resilient and empathetic, able to build strong, positive relationships with pupils.
  • Experienced in supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) and managing challenging behaviour.
  • Confident in adapting to different situations and providing the right support to help pupils engage and succeed.
  • A strong communicator, able to work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs, both inside and outside of the classroom.
  • Assist pupils with their learning, helping them to access the curriculum at their own pace.
  • Support pupils emotionally, building trust and creating a safe, positive learning environment.
  • Help pupils develop independence, resilience, and confidence in their learning.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to implement strategies that meet pupils' individual needs.
  • Assist with personal care where required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available later.
