We are looking to recruit a Senior Electro-Optics Modelling Engineer to join our team of Electronic Warfare Specialists based at Porton Down, Nr Salisbury.
The role will be involved in creating leading edge solutions utilising Data Analytical and Modelling skills for Electro-Optics and their effect on the modelling of weapons systems.
Ideally we are seeking experience of:
Modelling and simulation techniques, applied to real-world scenarios.
MATLAB/Simulink.
Stochastic and deterministic models, analysing large batches of simulation runs.
Real time, and faster than real time, software environments.
Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) scenarios.
The EO domain and/or EO modelling experience (e.g. EO environments, EO Threat system understanding, EO countermeasure development).
System verification, validation and test.
C++.
The physics behind sensors, dynamics, optics and lasers.
Candidates need to be educated to degree level or equivalent in a Science or Engineering discipline (e.g. Mathematics, Physics or Software Engineering).
Candidates will need to be UK Nationals, eligible to work and live in the UK and to undergo and maintain appropriate UK government DV Security Clearance.
