Summer-Browning Associates is currently supporting our defence client, who is seeking a Head of Data for an initial twelve-month assignment with the option to extend.

Location: Hybrid working - Salisbury or Fareham

About the role: You will be responsible for the data purpose and delivering a compelling vision and long-term strategy for data within the organisation. Guiding and assuring the business to realise this strategy in line with future S&T and business capability requirements and the aspirations of the Data Strategy.

The ideal candidate will hold Active SC clearance and have a strong background in delivery Head of Data Management support, with the following skills and experience:

  • Senior leadership, governance or assurance experience within the data domain.
  • Experience of creating a culture that is trusting, collaborative, innovative, diverse and inclusive.
  • Experience in defining and communicating a clear vision that aligns with organisational goals, inspiring teams and stakeholders to take action.
  • DAMA accreditation at associate level or above.
  • Developing and implementing appropriate governance and assurance structures.
