Position Title -PROJECT WORKER
Reports to-Local Service Manager
Travel Requirements - UK Driving License, Candidate should drive own car.
Job Purpose - To provide high quality person centred support to enable and empower clients to develop the skills necessary for independent living.
Summary -This job sits within Sanctuary Supported Living (SSL) which helps people to live independently by providing high quality, registered and non registered specialist support and housing services.
The job holder will ensure that they fully understand and fulfil their responsibilities in respect of both Health & Safety and Equality & Diversity at all times.

Key Accountabilities -
1.Provide high quality person centred support to enable and empower clients to develop the skills necessary for independent living within legislative, regulatory requirements and best practice.
2.Establish professional relationships with all clients, using appropriate and clear communication to promote independence through developing daily living skills and social engagement, ensuring that clients maintain personal choice, privacy and dignity.
3.Contribute to the economic viability of schemes and services by assisting with budget setting, managing voids to achieve optimum occupancy levels, minimising rent arrears and maximising income from managing agents.
4.Provide an intensive housing management service to enable clients to maintain their tenancy, stay safe, and understand their rights and obligations under their tenancy.
5.Assist clients in understanding and planning their support package, focussing on positive outcomes to maximise clients' potential and enable them to exercise choice and control.
6.Provide advocacy to support clients and their families when required, to maximise clients independence and personal potential.
7. Liaise with relevant external agencies to ensure the maximum support is delivered to enable clients to access and maintain a level of integration within the wider community.
8. Manage the implementation of safeguarding principles and responsibilities to ensure the safety of clients and to avoid potential risk to stakeholders and the business.
9. Promote safe practices and undertake risk assessments within legislative frameworks and business protocols, escalating issues as appropriate.
10. Contribute, as appropriate, to special programmes and projects in support of the Groups objectives
Qualifications and Attainments
- Literacy and numeracy equivalent to at least GCSE Grade C English and Maths NVQ3 in Health & Social Care, or willing to work towards

Work Experience
- Some knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory requirements
- Proven experience of working with relevant client group
- Proven knowledge of key needs and services for relevant client group
