As a Bending Setter Operator, you’ll join a specialist engineering business where you’ll be responsible for setting and running a variety of bending machines to meet production targets. Working to strict quality and delivery standards, you’ll play a key role in ensuring output aligns with customer expectations and internal KPIs.
Based at the company’s Salisbury site, with a potential relocation to Andover in the next 12 months, this is a Temp-to-Perm opportunity offering long-term stability and excellent working hours.
As a Bending Setter Operator, you’ll benefit from:
- £13.79 per hour, rising to £14.55 after probation
- Temp-to-Perm route with review after 12 weeks
- Friendly and professional manufacturing cell environment
- Structured day shift:
- Mon–Thurs: 7:30am–4:15pm
- Friday: 7:30am–12:00pm (early finish!)
As a Bending Setter Operator, your responsibilities will include:
- Setting and operating a range of bending machines to complete production batches
- Measuring parts accurately and using bend checking fixtures to ensure quality
- Following start-up and shutdown procedures and maintaining a clean, safe workstation
- Ensuring safe working practices are followed and reporting any equipment issues
- Supporting team meetings, housekeeping, and continuous improvement initiatives
As a Bending Setter Operator, your skills and experience will include:
- Previous experience in machine setting and operation
- A good understanding of manufacturing quality standards and inspection tools
- The ability to interpret technical instructions and follow detailed procedures
- A collaborative and safety-conscious mindset
- Comfortable working to production KPIs such as output per hour and quality PPM targets
