MOT Technician & Tester

Location: Salisbury
Salary: 36,000 (competitive, depending on experience)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and dependable MOT Technician & Tester to join our workshop in the Salisbury area. You will be responsible for carrying out MOT tests, vehicle inspections, servicing, and a wide range of mechanical repairs. Your expertise will ensure vehicles are safe, compliant, and repaired to the highest standards, contributing to an excellent service experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Perform Class 4 MOT tests in line with DVSA regulations
Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs
Identify faults and recommend effective repair solutions
Ensure all work is completed efficiently, accurately, and following workshop procedures
Maintain detailed and accurate job records
Uphold a safe, clean, and organised working environment
Deliver friendly and professional customer service when required

Requirements

Valid MOT Tester licence (Class 4)
Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Full UK driving licence
Ability to work both independently and within a team
A proactive attitude with a focus on quality workmanship
