Part-Time Morning Teaching Assistant - EYFS 1:1 Support

Hours: Mornings Only (Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 12:30pm)

Contract: Part-Time, Term Time Only
Are you nurturing, patient, and passionate about early years education? A friendly and inclusive primary school in Alderbury is seeking a Part-Time Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Reception (Year R) child with learning and communication needs.
About the Role:
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the early stages of a child's educational journey. You will support a young learner with additional needs, helping them engage in classroom activities, develop communication and interaction skills, and feel confident in their environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual support for a Reception pupil with identified learning and communication needs
Implement strategies from the child's EHCP and work closely with the SENCO and class teacher
Adapt activities and instructions to suit the child's developmental level and learning style
Encourage social interaction and promote a calm, nurturing environment
Track progress and provide feedback to the teaching team and parents
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with children in Early Years or with SEN (preferred but not essential)
A kind, patient, and enthusiastic approach to learning and support
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Understanding of early child development and inclusive teaching practices
A relevant qualification such as a Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (desirable)
