Teaching Assistant
Prospero Teaching is proud to be supporting a nurturing and inclusive Primary school in Wiltshire, in the recruitment of a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support primary-aged pupils from Year 1-6.
The Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils' learning, progress, and wellbeing. You will assist with delivering learning activities and help create a positive and focused classroom environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting individual pupils and small groups within the classroom
- Assisting teachers with planning and delivering learning activities
- Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting pupils' social development
- Helping to maintain a safe, calm, and inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Building positive relationships with pupils to support their confidence and engagement
Contract Details:
- Location: Wiltshire (near Salisbury)
- Position: Teaching Assistant - Primary School
- Start Date: ASAP
- Contract Type: Permanent or long-term supply (with potential for permanent placement)
- Working Hours: 8:30am - 3.30pm, Monday to Friday
- Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Requirements:
- Experience working with children in a school or similar environment
- A proactive and empathetic approach to supporting pupils
- Up-to-date Safeguarding training (or willingness to complete)
- Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- Two professional child-related references
