Senior Water Hygiene Engineer
- Annual Salary: 34,000 - 37,500

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Senior Water Hygiene Engineer to join our Clients skilled team. This role involves a mix of planned preventative maintenance, remedial works, and risk assessments. The successful candidate will be confident working independently and leading by example in the field.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Conducting Legionella risk assessments in accordance with ACoP L8 and HSG274 parts 2 and 3.
- Disinfection of cold-water storage tanks and associated systems.
- Calorifier inspections and descaling.
- TMV servicing and replacements.
- Water sampling and flushing regimes.
- Cleaning and chlorination of water systems.
- Supporting and mentoring junior engineers and apprentices.
- Completing accurate and timely reports and paperwork.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- City & Guilds qualifications in Legionella risk assessment.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Excellent understanding of Legionella control and compliance.
- L8 Awareness & Legionella Risk Assessment experience essential.
- Competent with technical procedures, safe systems of work, and method statements.
- Willingness to obtain MOD security clearance.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Desirable: Confined Space, Asbestos Awareness, Working at Height, and Manual Handling training.
- Experience working on MOD, NHS, or high-security sites is advantageous.
- Knowledge of closed system analysis and remedial solutions.
