Our client is a leading player in the marine and maritime sector and is currently seeking a Senior Naval Architect to join their team permanently. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of defence technology and ground-breaking innovations. Based in Gosport, you will be part of a team dedicated to creating the future by empowering and protecting lives.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Support engineering and technical activities of the programme
  • Deliver hydrodynamic model experiments
  • Ensure projects/programmes are delivered to agreed quality, timescales, and budget
  • Create, modify, and implement code for mathematical modelling assessments
  • Apply high levels of safety and governance to all projects/programmes


Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience working in multidisciplinary project teams
  • Strong understanding of hydrodynamics or adjacent skills
  • Previous coding experience, preferably with MATLAB, Simulink, or Python


Qualifications:

  • BEng / MEng in Aeronautical Engineering or Naval Architecture, or a relevant engineering discipline

The role is 37 hours per week and based at our site near Portsmouth. You will have access to our state-of-the-art facilities at the including an ocean basin rotating arm and marine towing tank. You will join a collaborative and innovative team dedicated to high-level problem-solving and groundbreaking solutions.
