A specialist secondary setting in Salisbury is seeking a passionate and resilient English Teacher to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This full-time role begins on 3rd November 2025 and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students who require a tailored and supportive approach to learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons adapted to meet the needs of pupils with SEMH.
- Foster a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Use trauma-informed and positive behaviour strategies to support student engagement.
- Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and families to promote academic and emotional progress.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
- Experience teaching English at secondary level
- Experience working with SEMH pupils or in specialist settings
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Available to start on 3rd November and work full-time
