Parts Advisor Saltash (Relocating to Plymouth in Spring 2025)
Salary: £13.77hr
Overtime paid at 1.5 X
Hours: Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 5:00pm, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and 11:00 am to 8:00 pm plus a Saturday morning, all shift times are operated on a rota basis.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Parts Advisor to join a well-established team at our Saltash site, with a planned relocation to a brand-new facility in Plymouth in late spring 2025. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented individual with a strong customer service focus and experience in parts handling within the automotive sector.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify and source parts for both front and back counters
- Check off stock, accurately put items away, and maintain a tidy stock area
- Pick orders and place them on the delivery shelves
- Process supplier returns and customer credits
- Handle warranty returns
- Conduct perpetual stock checking
- Stock receipting using DMS systems
- Excellent customer service and administrative skills
- Friendly, proactive attitude with the ability to work under pressure
- Some knowledge of the motor vehicle sector or automotive trade
- Experience working to performance targets
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous
- Familiarity with Autoline, Kerridge, or Keyloop is beneficial
- Willingness to work the late shift (11:00 am 8:00 pm), potentially extending to 10:00 pm in the future
- Monday to Friday: Rotating shifts of 7:00 am 5:00 pm, 8:00 am 6:00 pm, and 11:00 am 8:00 pm (potentially moving to 10:00 pm in the future)
- Saturday mornings on a rota basis
- 45 hours per week (1-hour unpaid lunch break)
