Primary Responsibilities

The role requires a strong competence in hand soldering of electronic components to IPC-A-610 standards.

-Complete through hole soldering on PCBs to IPC-A-610 class 2&3

-Hand placement of surface mount components to PCBs

-General product assembly of completed PCBs into housings

-Wiring and cable assembly

-Complete basic tests on products

-Follow parts list and APs to exact instruction

-Ability to read colour charts and demonstrate component knowledge

-Operate assembly machinery (Training provided) - Wire cutting, tin dipping, component prep machines

-Operate SMT Pick and Place Machine (Desirable)

Qualifications & Experience

- PCB Assembly (IPC-A-610 or J-Standard)

-Electronics Assembly experience

-Hand Soldering

-Component recognition

Skills and Knowledge

-Attention to detail

-Communication Skills

-Understanding of Electronics Principles

-Ability to work from Bill of Materials and Assembly Procedures

-Cable Assembly and Wiring (Desirable)

Mon-Thurs 07.45am-16.30pm

Fri 08.00am-12.00pm

37.5 hours per week
