As an essential part of the transport team, you will ensure the safe, legal, and efficient delivery of goods to customers, maintaining high standards of professionalism and vehicle care.
Primary Role & Responsibilities:
- Deliver goods across the region in a timely, safe, and professional manner.
- Represent the company positively when dealing with customers, contractors, and internal staff.
- Follow all driver hours regulations, Road Transport Directive legislation, and company policies in collaboration with the Logistics Department.
- Load and unload vehicles safely and ensure goods are correctly secured in transit.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks, ensuring compliance with legal and safety requirements, and promptly report any issues.
- Complete all delivery paperwork, manifests, and records with accuracy and efficiency.
- Plan routes effectively, adjusting where needed and maintaining clear communication with the logistics team regarding any delays or delivery challenges.
- Support the team with yard and workshop tasks when not on the road.
- Be flexible to occasional overnight stays if operationally required (with notice).

What We’re Looking For:- A full UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Previous experience in a similar Class 2 driving role, ideally within manufacturing or industrial logistics.
- Solid knowledge of driver compliance, transport safety, and load security practices.
- A proactive, customer-focused mindset with strong time management and route planning skills.
- A safety-conscious and reliable approach to work.
- Willingness to be flexible with occasional nights out or overtime.
- Own transport is essential due to the rural location of the Sandtoft site.
