Job Opportunity: Class 1 (C+E) Driver

Location Base: Sandtoft (site-based with nationwide deliveries)

Salary: Dependent on Experience

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full-time (Overnight tramping required when necessary)

As a crucial part of the logistics operation, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, legal, and efficient transport of goods, maintaining the highest standards of delivery performance and vehicle care.

• Deliver goods nationwide in a timely, safe, and professional manner.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude in all interactions with customers, contractors, members of the public, and internal staff.
• Adhere strictly to driver hours regulations, Road Transport Directive legislation, and all company policies in collaboration with the Logistics Department.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and securely, ensuring loads are well-balanced and properly restrained.
• Conduct thorough daily vehicle checks, ensuring all vehicles are legally compliant and roadworthy, and reporting any defects promptly.
• Complete all necessary delivery documentation, manifests, and vehicle records accurately and on time.
• Plan and optimise routes, taking into account delivery schedules and road conditions, and communicating effectively with the Logistics Department about any delays or issues.
• Be flexible and willing to undertake overnight tramping and occasional multi-night assignments as required.

• A full UK Class 1 (C+E) licence
• Proven experience in a similar Class 1 driving role 
• Strong understanding of driver compliance, safety regulations, and transport laws.
• Excellent route planning, time management, and customer service skills.
• A safety-first mindset, proactive attitude, and willingness to go the extra mile.
• Flexibility for tramping and occasional weekend work when required.
• Access to own transport due to the rural location of the site in Sandtoft.
