Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our clients team. This role involves designing and developing products, working with Marketing to ensure effective commercialisation, and collaborating with Manufacturing to ensure a smooth transition from prototype to production.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Create new product designs and re-design existing products, including detailed layouts, assemblies, and parts drawings.
  • Ensure designs are cost-effective and meet commercial requirements.
  • Define and manage product testing procedures, work with Quality Assurance (QA) to ensure adherence to quality standards and ISO guidelines, and address any errors or issues.
  • Oversee the product from initial design through to production, coordinating activities and managing new product introductions to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Assess existing products for potential redesign based on feedback from customers, vendors, or internal teams.
  • Explore new product opportunities and technologies through data analysis and benchmarking.
  • Prepare clear and detailed technical reports and documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with various departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment and resolve any issues.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or similar). A Master's degree is a plus.
  • At least 2 years of experience in engineering industrial products.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively with various departments and customers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Autodesk, AutoCAD & Inventor.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks.
