Assembly Technician (Electro-Mechanical)Location: Sandwich

We are looking for a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team, specialising in the assembly of both simple and complex mechanical and electro-mechanical components. This role involves working with detailed engineering drawings, written and verbal instructions, and applying a high level of precision and quality at every stage of the build process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical and electro-mechanical components to a high standard, following engineering drawings and work instructions
  • Safely use a range of hand and bench tools, including torque drivers
  • Follow company health and safety procedures at all times
  • Work both independently and as part of a team to meet production goals
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and managers, both verbally and in writing
  • Attend training as required to maintain and develop skills
  • Participate in customer or supplier visits if required (a full driving licence and valid passport are necessary)

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in assembling simple and complex mechanical/electro-mechanical parts
  • Strong ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
  • Confident using hand tools and applying adhesives (such as Loctite) where appropriate
  • High attention to quality throughout the build process
  • Computer literate (familiar with MS Office packages)
  • Experience working with ESD procedures is an advantage but not essential
  • Previous experience in a highly regulated industry (such as defence) is desirable but not required
