Job Title: Production Operative
Location: Sandwich, Kent (MUST be a driver and have your own vehicle due to location and shift times)
Salary: £28,100
Hours: 4 on 6am - 6pm, 4 off, 4 on 6pm - 6am, 4 off

Role Summary:
To run machinery within the production area to complete production orders. Also to carry out quality checks on manufactured products.

Key responsibilities within your new role would be to:
- Set up production equipment and ensure sufficient supplies ready for production.
- Operate equipment safely and effectively.
- Ensure that equipment is maintained and in good and safe working condition.
- Perform regular equipment maintenance, with the help of the engineering department.
- Provide assistance to other staff members.
- Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements.
- Perform visual quality checks on manufactured products.
- Record machine data on a verification sheet, addressing any anomalies.
- Carry our strip and cleans on all production lines.
- Operate forklift trucks to transfer raw materials and finished goods.
- Contribute to waste management programs.
- Identify non-conforming materials and segregate.
- Communicate testing status and results.
Experience and skills required for this position:
- Experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience within quality setting would be ideal but not essential.
- Effective communication skills.
- Be self motivated and keen to learn.
- Be results orientated.
- Have working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
