Location: Sandwich, Kent (MUST be a driver and have your own vehicle due to location and shift times)

Salary: £28,100

Hours: 4 on 6am - 6pm, 4 off, 4 on 6pm - 6am, 4 off

Role Summary:

To run machinery within the production area to complete production orders. Also to carry out quality checks on manufactured products.

Key responsibilities within your new role would be to:

  • Set up production equipment and ensure sufficient supplies ready for production.
  • Operate equipment safely and effectively.
  • Ensure that equipment is maintained and in good and safe working condition.
  • Perform regular equipment maintenance, with the help of the engineering department.
  • Provide assistance to other staff members.
  • Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements.
  • Perform visual quality checks on manufactured products.
  • Record machine data on a verification sheet, addressing any anomalies.
  • Carry our strip and cleans on all production lines.
  • Operate forklift trucks to transfer raw materials and finished goods.
  • Contribute to waste management programs.
  • Identify non-conforming materials and segregate.
  • Communicate testing status and results.

Experience and skills required for this position:

  • Experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience within quality setting would be ideal but not essential.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Be self motivated and keen to learn.
  • Be results orientated.
  • Have working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
