Role:  Sales Estimator
Location: Sandy, Bedfordshire
Hours: Monday – Thursday: 8:30pm to 5pm, Friday: 8:30pm to 4pm
Salary: Depending on Experience

An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a driven Sales estimator to join a fast paced design manufacture in the Sandy area.

Our client is seeking a driven and self-motivated individual with strong engineering/technical awareness and excellent communication skills, capable of building and maintaining effective relationships with clients and colleagues while supporting the sales and estimating process.

Duties of a Sales Estimator:

  • Compile detailed estimates and prepare quotations for equipment and systems using standard templates and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Use Access Database to log quotations raised along with client Company and contact details
  • Using Hubspot to log quotes into CRM system and follow up those not designated to a Salesperson.
  • Develop a more efficient and streamlined standard estimating and quotation system utilising our standard templates in both Excel and Word format, may require sourcing of new software etc.
  • Learn (if needed) and review Hubspot for suitability as a sales tool to raise detailed quotations
  • Answer sales enquiries from incoming calls or emails, respond and follow up or liaise with colleagues as necessary.
  • Raise Internal Sales Orders from client PO’s, relating them to quotations sent.
  • Liaise with other departments such as Accounts and Projects and provide detail of Sales Orders and estimates as required for site resource allocation.
  • Assist with answering queries and questions from clients regarding our equipment technical details and lead times etc.

 

What we would like from you:

  • Experience in a manufacturing estimating environment, preferably engineering based and machinery biased.
  • Experience in MS Office 365 applications, Outlook, Access, Advanced in MS Excel and MS Word
  • Experience in Hubspot or similar CRM system.
  • Able to communicate and work closely with all levels from factory to MD and with clients.
  • Ability to review and investigate potential Proposal Software and provide recommendation to Directors
